Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) is a Government-owned and Controlled Corporation (GOCC). Southern Luzon Area also known as Area 4 is along the southern part of
Luzon.
Area 4 is the result of the merging of Region IV and V except the
three provinces of Region IV namely: Cavite, Rizal and Palawan
provinces. It services the mailing needs of 13 provinces: 7 in Region
IV; Laguna, Batangas, Quezon, Marinduque, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental
Mindoro, and Romblon, and 6 provinces in Region V; Albay, Camarines
Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Masbate, and Sorsogon.
The
Administrative Center is located at San Pablo City, Laguna. Southern
Luzon Area has a total land area of 5,266.82 sq kms with a population of
16,563,779 servicing the postal needs of 21 cities, 247 municipalities
and 7,499 barangays. It has a total number of 112 regular Post Offices, 8
extensions and 157 circuit post Offices.
