How the Zip Code Benefits You
When you use the ZIP Code, you increase the speed, accuracy
and quality of all mail services. Zip-coded mail can be processed
quickly either by automatic equipment or by manual means.
If, in addition to being post coded, large volume mail is
presorted in the ZIP code sequence, the post office can route the same
more directly and quickly. The result is fewer handling, faster and more
accurate delivery. Thus, using the ZIP Code provides both you and your
addresses/ customers better service.
How the Zip Code Works
The ZIP Code, a four-digit geographic code, identifies areas
within the Philippines for purposes of simplifying the distribution of
mail by the Philippine Postal Corporation.
The Code should be written on the upper left-hand corner of
the last lines of both the destination and return addresses of the mail,
preceding the name of the city/province/district.
